I like to create things and web development is a great way for me to express myself.
In order for me to be happy with my work, my work has to be responsive and beautiful.
I love sports and everything that has to do with it. I start my day by watching the highlights of last nights NHL round. I also play floorball competitively so working out is a big part of my life.
I'm a 22-year-old, studying Information Networks at Aalto University since fall of 2016. I spent the summer of 2016 in Toronto studying Web Development at Brainstation, and I've been bitten by the coding-bug ever since. I've mainly worked with HTML5, CSS3, JQuery and JavaScript with AngularJS as my main framework. I have an understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases, mainly using PostgreSQL but also some MongoDB.
I play floorball as an amateur for Hämeenlinnan Steelers on the highest level in Finland (only second to the league in Sweden in the world).
I went to Gymnasiet Svenska Normallyceum because there was an emphasis on science at that school. At the same time I practiced floorball twice a day, spent half a year studying & playing in Stockholm and managed to graduate with honorable grades.
I got accepted to study Information Networks at Aalto Univesity straight out of high school. I served my military service at Kaartin Jääkärirykmentti, becoming the chairman for the militaryservants at our base and being promoted to sergeant.
Already before my military service I had gotten interested in coding and fooled around with some HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I spent the whole summer of 2016 in Toronto at Brainstation attending their Web Development Immersive -program, where I got to take a deepdive into the world of coding.
This fall I'm attending two courses in basic software development. I'm currently learning to use Scala and fiddling around with React.js and MySQL.
